Fava Advert

       Durex Pleasure Gels

As the lady steers outside her window impatiently waiting for someone, a man finally arrives in a black and white suit with a case bag over his shoulders the lady then looks at herself in the mirror and fixes her hair and rushes down the stairs.

I can connote that the lady was in a rush to see this working middle age man maybe as she rushes down stairs with excitement.

When the man puts his bag down he then notices the candles which are lit and making a trail up the stairs. This shows the audience that the adverts can be based on romance as candles are calming. Also, the advert only shows a man and a female this helps the audience establish the theme of romance.

Eventually, the product that is being advertised has been showed with a blurred back ground of a bedroom with a dark background with a slight contrast of light coming through from the candles. As the product 'Durex' stands up in the middle in a curved blue bottle with a slogan written at the top 'love, sex’ and 'FEEL' in capital letters. The product also aware us on what it is and used for as written at the bottom of the bottle in normal font size 12 writing, 'pleasure gel'.

This shows us that the setting that you should use the product being advertise is in a calm and romantic environment which is a bedroom as when the working class man comes home from work and get to relax.

It can be argued that the target audience for this advert will be a much older and experienced audience, however you can not put an age on contraception because you are able to get applies for free from family planning clinics and with parents concent. in addition, stores do like customers to be of a certain age to buy durex products which is shown from reasearch.

I do believe that this adverts target audience is for females/males that are sexually active and in a relationship. I had broken the target audience down to this due to the fact of guessing the age of the characters and their relations.
